Nestled in the cool avenues of Rajajinagar, The National Public School is a thouhtful dream visualized by our Founder Chairman Dr K P Gopalkrishna who has been meticulously and ably supported by our Senior Principal Mrs Santhamma Gopalkrishna the lady behind his success. NPS started its journey over 56 years ago, and celebrated its Golden Jubilee in 2009. National Public School, Rajajinagar was established in 1959 in order to promote in children a frame of mind devoid of linguistic or regional bias. The evolution of NPS from a bud to the fully blossomed flower that it is today has not always been smooth sailing. The metamorphosis has been possible due to the unstinting efforts, of hard work and determination of the dedicated team headed by Dr K P Gopalkrishna. Today NPS has more than 1800 students on its roll and has the honour of being granted Autonomy by the CBSE, Govt. of India. This is an honour given only to two schools in the country of which NPS Rajajinagar is one.

The first priority is for siblings. Applications from siblings are usually more than twice the number of seats available.
The second priority is for children of our teachers and other staff members.
Priority for admission is also listed for alumni of our school. As you are aware, NPS has been functioning since 1959. Children of the alumni group are also many.
The next preference is for the nationally mobile group, including central services and other transferable services of India.
There is also another category of people who are internationally mobile coming from schools outside India. Bangalore is seeing a large number of this migratory group who are seeking admission to NPS.
Now the government prioritises admission for minorities from different states of India to promote national integration.
Applications for admission to KG II and Grade 1 are not accepted as there is no vacancy.
In other classes admission will depend upon the vacancies likely to arise on account of withdrawal due to parents&rsquo: transfer.
