Birla and Dr. (Mrs.) Sarala Birla to commemorate the thoughts of Late G. D. Birla, a powerful, dynamic personality of Indian industry. GD Birla Memorial School for Boys was formally inaugurated on August 15, 1987.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&#8220;No one can live by intellect alone. The key to success lies in perseverance, simplicity, diligence, in-depth studies and firmness.&#8221; &#8211; Shri Ghanshyam Das Birla<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Academics<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>GD Birla is affiliated to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbse.nic.in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)<\/a>. The school, comprising classes IV to XII, is a member of the prestigious <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ipsc.co.in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Indian Public Schools&#8217; Conference<\/a> and the Round Square International.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The academic year at G.D. Birla Memorial School for Boys consists of 2 terms:<br \/><br \/>First Term : March to July<br \/>Mid-term Break : Four weeks in August<br \/>Second Term : September to December<br \/>Winter Vacation : Begins after the third week of December<br \/><br \/>Students of classes X and XII return in January for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edustoke.com\/blog\/summer-camps-great-children\/\">Winter Study Camp<\/a>. New academic year for other students begins in the first week of March.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gdbms.net\/img\/102.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"575\" height=\"401\" \/><\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Infrastructure<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>It is situated in the Almora district of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Uttarakhand\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Uttarakhand<\/a>, a state in Northern India. <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ranikhet\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ranikhet<\/a> is at a height of 5500 ft above sea level and is 360 km from the capital of India, Delhi. The school is located on a hill slope about 5 km from <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ranikhet\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ranikhet<\/a> town.
