Implementing the ideas laid out by national and international experts, Pathways World School Aravali was the first school to be launched under the Pathways umbrella in the year 2003. The curriculum includes the Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma Programme of the International Baccalaureate Organisation of Geneva. Pathways Aravali was the first IB Continuum School in North India and the first residential school in the region to follow the IB curriculum. The school applies the Multiple Intelligences approach, developed by Dr. Howard Gardner from Harvard University. The campus is situated in 34 acres of land on an elevated, wooded site along the majestic foothills of the Aravali Hills. This not only ensures a tranquil environment away from the rush and din of city life, but also offers a magnificent scenic panorama across the hills. Despite its unique location, the school is only 35 kilometers from the Delhi International Airport and falls within the NCR. The school offers both day and boarding options for students while providing flexibility in the boarding options with choices among week, fortnight and term boarding. The current student strength of the school is approximately 1400 with representation from over 40 nations. The school has been consistently ranked among the top international schools in the country. In the latest Education World Rankings for International Day cum Residential Schools, Pathways Aravali was ranked 1 in the whole of North India and ranked 2 in INDIA. The school was also the recipient of the Designshare Award from New York, USA in 2003 for its aesthetic and purposeful infrastructure design and the ‘Best IT User Award”in the education category in the country’ from NASSCOM in 2004. In the year 2007, the school was rated among the five best architectural works in Delhi and NCR. In the year 2010, the school earned the honour of becoming a global member of Round Square and is also a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS). Pathways has created a benchmark in the purposeful use of technology in school education with universal radio networking and the use of interactive whiteboards & projection screens to integrate information communication technology (ICT) with classroom learning. Ms. Sonya Ghandy Mehta Ms. Sonya Ghandy Mehta, is a Graduate in Psychology and Education and has a Post Graduate Degree in Education from the University of San Diego, USA. She completed her Schooling from The Lawrence School, Sanawar, India. Ms. Mehta believes that she was born to be a Teacher. She joined teaching at the age of 21 and her 30 years of teaching and administrative experience has spanned over Special Education, setting-up Vocational Training Courses and Mainstream Education in ISC, IB and IGCSE Curriculums. Her professional career started in Jamshedpur as a teacher to Young Adults with Special Needs in 1991. Ms. Mehta was associated with Indus International School, Bangalore, India, in various capacities for over 8 years, after which she joined The Assam Valley School, India, in 2013. Her experience in international education, helped her incorporate new age teaching methodologies in the School. With a sharp focus on Professional Development for Teachers, the School progressed steadily. Her strong belief about education is that it cannot be limited to the classroom and textbooks. In our ever changing world, it is crucial for education to constantly reinvent itself. What was relevant even 5 years ago might not be so today. Each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating environment in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. She has done her Graduation in Commerce from Delhi University & holds to her credit various Specialised Courses in the realm of Education: Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education, Specialization in Guidance and Counselling.Diploma in Environment Education from Centre for Environmental Education in collaboration with Common Wealth Learning, Vancouver.In her association with Pathways, she has participated in several intensive IB Trainings and Conferences in India & Overseas. She is a member of the IB Educator Network and is a trained IB Workshop Leader and School Visits Member. She has facilitated various IB workshops in other IB Schools across India. She is a part of the IB Evaluation Team & has visited various established IB Schools, in her capacity. Principal - Middle School - Ms. Monika Bajaj has a teaching experience of 22 years. She is a qualified B.ed educator and has attended various IB trainings & workshops in her 13 years of service with PWS Principal (Senior School) - Ms.Manjula Shenoi has a total of 29 years of experience in education in India and Overseas, out of which 12 years are in the IB Curriculum. She has completed 7 years at Pathways World School Aravali. She has held many positions in her career such as TOK Coordinator, HOD English, College Counsellor (Overseas), Academic Coordinator (Vertical & Horizontal Curriculum Articulation MYP & DP) and IBDP Coordinator. Admission Process

School Visit - You are most welcome to visit the school and have an informal discussion with or without your child. This can be done by fixing a prior appointment with the Head of Admissions & Communication through mail. A meeting can also be arranged with the Principal or any other faculty member that you may wish to see. Application - Parents are requested to be frank and honest in providing information in the admission application form. Adverse information if any, whether scholastic or behavioral, will not be a ground for refusal of any admission request. Any such information would in fact help the school to create a suitable environment for your child, once admitted. Any wrong information or concealment of information discovered later may lead to cancellation of admission. Interaction - The interaction is as pleasant and non intimidating as we can make it. It is normally conducted by Head of Admissions, School Director, the respective Principal, Head of Pastoral Care and Residence coordinator (if applicable). We are interested in knowing about the child's/ student's educational development, use of language, social skills, academic enthusiasms and extra-curricular interests. The aim of the interaction is to find about what the student knows, understands and enjoys. Primary applicants (up to Grade 5) should bring at least one book which they are currently reading inside or outside school. Primary school candidates are examined by the Primary Head. This is an interaction and the child may also be asked to perform some simple activities. Admission seekers for Grades 6 to 9 have an interaction and a written test. Testing is done for Basic English and Mathematics. For Grade 9, students will also be assessed for Integrated Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology). Students are only taken into Grade 10 if they are transferring from a similar school and their admission is based on reports from their existing school and an interaction and test. Admission to Grade 11 is by interaction and written tests in English, Mathematics and Science. All the IB Diploma candidates also have a meeting with the School Director. The candidates should demonstrate the ability to meet the requirements of the IB Diploma. In Grade 12 only transferring IB Diploma Students are admitted. Overseas applicants shall follow the same procedure as stated above. Exceptions will be made on date of placement assessment.

EQUESTRIAN: Student of Grade 10, was invited to represent India, by the China National Sports International, a Company that organises sports Competition and Cultural Exchange activities, to participate in the Chinese Equestrian Nations Cup competition held in Beijing Chaoyang Park from 24th August to 26th August 2018 wherein he displayed amazing Equestrian skills that took his Country to 4th position out of 72 Nations that were participating. In his individual performance, he was ranked 6th out of 30 participants, thus becoming the First Rider from India and Youngest in the World to get this position in an International Competition. Student of Grade 7, participated in the Delhi Horse Show in Children Group 1 on 30 March and Open hacks, held on 6 April and won individual medals in each category and was ranked 5th in the Group in the Child Gold Medal for his First Position in U-19 Boys category at the IBSO National Squash Tournament for International schools held at Sanskar Valley International School at Bhopal Student of Grade 8, who possesses amazing gymnastic skills represented India in the Dubai International Rhythmic Gymnastics in December and bagged two medals and scored an overall position of 5th among 498 participants from 18 countries. She also won a Silver Medal in an individual event. Student of Grade 4 student participated and won his Gold medal in 30th Delhi State Taekwondo Championship, held in December 2018. This was the 3rd consecutive year of winning a Gold medal in this championship. Student of Grade 3, participated in an Open Tennis Tournament (Under 10 Category) organized by the CCTA and ASTA Academy in Gurugram from 12th April to 14th April 2019 and won the Semi-Finals on 12th April and achieved the 2nd position in the Finals on 14th April 2019.
