The main objective of our school is to provide stress free, child centred and holistic education to all the girls without compromising on quality. We adapt and innovate methods to achieve academic excellence with psychological, pedagogical and social principles. Special coaching is given to the students for appearing competitive exams at the same time remedial classes are taken for the weak students providing personal attention. In primary and middle school, activity oriented teaching is prevalent so that the students will get involved in the teaching learning process. Projects, assignments, workshops are given frequently to the students along with regular classroom teaching. Regular workshops and capacity building programmes are conducted in school to update the professional competency of teachers.
Accommodation detail:Amatir provides very secure, comfortable and hygienic home away their homes for 300 girls where they feel happy, safe and content. It provides 24x7 supply of solar electricity, hot and cold water throughout the year. Girls are provided with necessary fully furnished rooms in sharing basis with separate study halls, Dinning area and ICT facility. They are provided with nutritious and delicious pure vegetarian food, milk and seasonal fruits on daily basis. Sports students are given extra diet to meet their calories requirement. Tutoring and extra coaching are provided to the residential students in scholastic and co-scholastic subjects. At present we have students from Haryana, Punjab, U.P., Uttarakhand, Bihar, Rajastan, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Delhi, H.P. and Maharastra.
Hostel medical facilities:Amatir runs dispensary in the school as well as hostel with a full time Staff nurse. The students are provided with all basic medical facilities and medicines free of cost, In case of emergency, the doctor is always available on call. We have tied up with the top hospitals of the city to take care of serious ailments or emergencies. Regular health check up is done for students as well as staff. There is an eight- bed recovery room in the hostel. Special diet along with medicine is provided for the sick.
Mess facilities:Amatir accomodates 300 students and 20 residential teachers with fully furnished rooms and basic facilities. It has a spacious dining hall which can accommodate 400 people at a time to dine with dining tables and mats. It has separate dining hall for teachers. The students assemble in the dining area for breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner and milk. They begin eating after chanting prayer.
Co-curricular:Co-curricular activities are an integral part of our school curriculum. As per the CBSE norms, every week CCA is conducted and the winners are acknowledged. Various literary programmes such as Elocution, Poem recitation, Essay writing, skit, Debate, Group discussion, Calligraphy, News reading, Poster making and aesthetic programmes like Drawing, Painting, Quilling, Cooking, Best out of waste, Mono action, Mime, Singing, Dancing etc are organised every week. The students participate in the competitions enthusiastically and exhibit their innate talent.
Sports:Amatir is known for encouraging the students in sports and games. The motto of education is not confining the children to the four walls of classroom and books but give them platform for all round development. Sports and games are indispensable for physical, mental and psychological growth of the children.
Amatir is the home of various sports nurseries such as Athletics, Volley Ball, Football, Tennis, Taekwondo, Judo, Boxing, Gymnastics and Yoga. Well –experienced coaches are providing them coaching to excel in games. Many students have brought laurels to our school in Hand ball, Volley ball, Athletics, Taekwondo etc. So far our students have bagged 41 Gold, 45 Silver and 37 Bronze medals in games nationwide. Some of them are playing in the national level. Two Amatirians have brought laurel to our school by achieving silver and bronze medals in National Level Chai-kwon-do and Handball in session 2018-19.
Safety security hygiene:Safety and security at Amatir is a prime concern and we have successfully implemented a state of the art security system which run 24x7 with trained guards and supported with equipments like body scanners, CCTV and fully electrified main compound wall fencing.
The school and hostel provide proper toilets and wash rooms and purified drinking water for students and staff.
Exchange program:Our school is already been a part of British Council and has bagged International School Award for 2016-19. It’s working to grab it for the second time for the session 2019-21. It’s been a part of school curriculum to exchange projects and activities with schools of foreign countries that help the students as well as staff to broaden their international outlook and intercultural awareness. English trainers and instructors from countries like Ukraine, London came to our school and train our students.
