Accommodation detail:Boarding life is the heart of MIS and boarding staff play a pivotal role in the pastoral, social and emotional well being of their students. The boarding team is headed by the Principal who is supported by highly qualified and skilled teaching and residential staff, including the Housemothers, Assistant Housemothers and a range of support staff. “MIS is a home away from home, which maintains traditional values in a family atmosphere".
Hostel medical facilities:The school gives prime importance to student’s health. The school has a fully equipped 20 bed wellness centre.The Wellness Centre is manned by qualified medical and nursing staff. The resident lady doctor along with two nurses takes care of the health, hygiene and sanitation aspects of the girls. In case of emergencies, we take girls to the Mussoorie Community Hospital, or to Dehradun Hospital.
Mess facilities:MIS serves a pure vegetarian diet for its students, cooked in a hygienic kitchen by our expert catering staff. The menu includes a variety of delicious dishes – North Indian, South Indian, Continental and Chinese cuisines, and sumptuous snacks – followed by an elaborate spread of desserts. The menu is planned in consultation with the nutritionist and the school doctor. Every day, five meals are served: breakfast, juice break, lunch, teatime snack, dinner, as well as milk and cookies before bed. Students begin every meal with a prayer, relishing every morsel of food while maintaining decorum. Student volunteers take turns in serving meals.The school also has an in-house bakery that makes cakes and cookies.

We have a large number of senior staff, teachers and support staff living in and around the campus. Both our Male and female guards vigilantly patrol the campus at all times. The MIS Safety Committee meets regularly to discuss safety needs. Among other tasks, the committee establishes plans for disasters, conducts drills, and provides first-aid training to faculty and staff.
