OXFORD HOUSE was founded by Govinda Narayan chattopadhyay Memorial Trust on 2nd April 2001. Dr Neera Chattopadhyay has founded the Trust in memory of her husband Late Govinda Narayan Chattopadhyay in 2000. He was the first D. Lit. in Education of the University of Calcutta. He was a student of renowned Scientist Meghnad Shah. He retired as the Director of Education in Tripura. His contribution in education has become a legend In Tripura. He constituted a number of Primary and Secondary Schools. His mission was to spread education in every corner of Tripura among all communities. He founded Shiksha Niketan, a Higher Secondary School in Agartala of Tripura by spending his retirement benefit. Dr Neera Chattopadhyay was the associate founder of that school.The School is located Purbachal road, Kolkata.
