Only one long vacation is observed which extends from the first week of December until beginning of March. In view of the long winter break, very few public holidays are observed during the session.
Co-curricular:Students are encouraged to engage in a wide range of activates important in their overall development. Debates, declamations, group discussions, symposiums and quiz competitions are held periodically on topics of current international significance, not only to expand awareness of the world outside the school, but also give the children valuable experience in public speaking. In order to enjoy the vast outdoors of the picturesque Himalayan mountains, students are taken on frequent hikes (treks) and picnics. Occasionally, a group is arranged, stretching over a period of several days, in which places of historical-or other interest- are visited. The school does not seek permission from parents for such treks and picnics. If the parents/guardians do not wish their words to participate they must endorse this is the admission form and have it counter signed by the Principal.
Sports:Included in the curriculum of the School is an hour of compulsory games every day. These include basketball, badminton, table-tennis, cricket, judo karate, gymnastics and roller- skating. Additional facilities of horse riding are made available on week-ends.
Safety security hygiene:Personal Hygiene, especially of the younger children, is carried out by the Ayahs (help maids) and supervised by the Hostel Matron. A qualified medical Physician (Doctor) visits the premises every morning and is always available on call however, as and when advised by the school physician students are sent under on escort to Pathankot which is an approximately two hours drive, To consult specialists the school does not seek permission from parents. Parents are charged for such moves and consultations. The school will not be liable to an damage/ charges in case of any road accidents whether fatal or otherwise. Parents are requested to ensure that their child has undergone all medical check-ups (especially specialist- oriented problems) as may be required, before each academic session.
