About The School
Mayo College is a boys-only independent boarding school in Ajmer, Rajasthan, India. It was founded in 1875 by Richard Bourke, the viceroy of India at the time. It was created to provide modern education that was Indian in essence to the aristocracy. It is one of the oldest public boarding schools in India. The school is a unique blend of modern education being delivered in a historical setting to raise global citizens, who are capable of taking on the future, yet conscious and prod of their rich cultural legacy. The school follows a secular and egalitarian philosophy and draws students from all communities and regions across the country and the world.

Each house has its own common room with TV, games, TT table etc. Students live in dorms of 4 - 8. senior students live in double or single rooms.
Boarding / Residential Facilities
Common Aptitude Analysis for admission to Mayo College is held in the 3rd week of November every year at various centers in India. It can also be arranged overseas through the India Embassy in that country. The Analysis evaluates the candidate in English, Hindi and Mathematics to test the age specified skills in Mathematics and languages. Parents are notified in the month of August preceding the year in which admission is sought. Only the student who are eligible as per their previous Class of study and who are registered for admission are allowed to take the Aptitude Analysis.

The entry inside and out of the campus is strictly regulated and monitored. The whole campus is under 24 x 7 CCTV surveillance.
The school conducts several international Student Exchanges every year. Every year almost 100 students go to Australia, USA, UK, France and Germany. Students also go for Round square, sports and other service projects and programs to countries like South Africa, laos, Jordan, Japan, Vietnam, Morocco, Thailand, Borneo, sri lanka, China etc. Students and teachers from these countries visit us too. The school hosts the Annual French Festival which is attended by several international schools. The student exchanges start from grade 5th and continue through till grade XII. Allowing most students to go for several student exchanges during their stay at Mayo.
