Safety, Security & Hygiene

There are 8 Male security guards and Lady security guards are also posted at all buildings specially near toilet areas. There are CCTV cameras at all strategic positions. All school teachers and counselors have been told to be alert and look for signs of any sexual harassment. Strict control is kept on the entry of outside visitors and bus drivers etc. Lady security guards are there in all buses and teachers are also spread out over the buses so that children are protected. CCTV cameras are placed in all sections of the school. There are 8 security guards and peons at strategic locations. The school is surrounded by a 8 feet high compound wall with 2 feet barbed wire on it. There is also an escape gate at the rear of the School. Regarding the school's hygiene and cleanliness, we have a sizable cleaning crew to keep the grounds tidy. We also teach the students to maintain a clean environment. Students raise awareness of the importance of maintaining a clean campus through their participation in Shramdaan. Our restrooms have everything you need to keep them clean and sanitized.

School Exchange Program

With the Global Economy and advancement in Technology, the world has shrunk, making it necessary to provide internationalism as an essential part of school education. “To think Global and Act Local” has become a cliché, but it has great relevance in promoting world peace and understanding. This can best be done in schools when young minds are open to ideas, that may be different from those that existed in the previous generation. Once a new ‘Globalized Thinking’ takes root, we can hope that the hitherto illusive goals of peace, understanding and sustainable development will become reality. Hence, as a school, our main aim is to make a conscious effort to link groups of students to one another across the world and thus initiate understanding of Global Issues.

Academic

Popularly known as NVS, it is a mixed school comprising of the primary, secondary and senior secondary. The teacher-student ratio in our school is not more than 1:15. The School follows the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) syllabus and for this purpose uses the NCERT (National Council for Educational Research and Training) text books. Text books and reference books by private publishers are also used wherever they are found to be necessary.

Co-curricular

In Extracurricular activities children are trained for different forms of dancing, dramatics, music, debate, etc. and they have brought a lot of laurels for the school in various activities.

awards-img

Sports

The school can boast of excellent facilities for several sports like Athletics, football, cricket, basketball, Tennis, Table tennis, badminton, squash, chess, and Rifle shooting. NVS has one of the very few well-made Squash courts in the state of Maharashtra; as a result, we have had a number of National Level medal winning Squash players in the school.

Others

Nath Valley already has a Young Engineers Garage to train in 3D printing, IOT, making drones and robots and Arduino coding; a hardware club to train the students about the computer hardware, A culinary art club for training in basic cooking. We will also be having an industrial tool room very soon and a room for pottery.

Key Differentiators

Having a campus of 20 acres is considered a luxury in the modern era of vertical school construction. It is inconceivable to imagine a world without high rise structures and an abundance of open space for sports and other outdoor activities, such as football and cricket fields. Nath Valley is able to take pride in precisely that. The surrounding flora enhances the campus's aesthetic appeal and gives students a welcoming setting.

At Nath Valley, there is a teacher-to-student ratio of 1:15, which is extremely uncommon in today's schools. This provides us an advantage over other schools because it allows us to provide each kid with individualized attention, to comprehend their problems, and to collaborate with them to find solutions. The teacher's workload in terms of corrections is also lessened by the low ratio, which allows them to focus more on the problems of the students

Homework is something that terrifies students and keeps them occupied after the school hours as well, therefore, not allowing them to enhance other skills of theirs. The No Homework policy at Nath Valley allows them to have free time after school so that they can use it to pick up various skills and enhance their personality. This does not mean that we do not take academics seriously, during school hours, children are given an hour for self-study every day wherein they do all that they otherwise will be doing for homework.

Clubs give kids the chance to learn new skills and acquire new knowledge, much like hobby classes do. Approximately fifty such club activities are available in Nath Valley, including debate, dancing, music, symphony, needlework, numerous artistic mediums, podcasting, and coding, to mention a few. Twice a week, clubs are held. The clubs' work is displayed during school exhibitions, annual days, and other activities both inside and outside the school. Our kids' personalities are greatly enhanced by the clubs they participate in.

The Morning Assemblies are a sacrosanct part of our daily routine at NVS, where all students and teachers get together. We start off with a prayer followed by the National Anthem. Every assembly includes a short skit or some speech which either talks about the essential values of life or the greatness of people who are an inspiration for us. The current news too is presented to spread awareness amongst all students. These give an opportunity to every student to come on the stage and face the audience, eventually boosting their self-confidence.

This is the time given to students once every week where they learn to, make things like paper bags and bags out of sarees, decorate diyas, taking care of flowering plants/ vegetables. These products can then be used for gifting them to others and they can be used by the students and teachers also. This instils in the children the dignity of labor.

There is nothing new in having a student council, most schools have them, But the way they work and the strata that they have is what makes us different. The council helps not only in the day to day disciplining of students, but also in conducting various inter and intra-school events. The council consists of students from classes 10 to 12. Then they are ably assisted by the prefects from every class. The training for instilling leadership quality therefore begins right from Std I.

Every year, at least two field trips are taken by each class. They go to factories, businesses, retirement communities, farms, orphanages, schools for underprivileged kids, and other such locations. This improves the kids' empathy, communication, and teamwork in addition to providing them with an understanding of how things operate. They gain knowledge on how to evaluate data and circumstances critically.
