Accommodation detail:Boarding.
The Surya Varsani Academy provides aesthetically designed, well-ventilated and spacious rooms for the students, as a part of their boarding arrangements. The students are also provided with study rooms in which to pursue their studies after school. Special attention is given to housekeeping and hygiene. In addition, the school also offers special tutorials for resident students by using the services of the resident subject teachers, thereby enabling thorough preparation for formative (internal) and summative (external) assessments. Experienced, caring and approachable staff takes care of the students round the clock and provide surrogate parental care and counseling if required. The school has a 24x7 medical facility on the campus which provides medical help. Furthermore, SVA serves tasty, highly nutritive food that is appealing to all palates through two on-site restaurants.
To ensure life beyond the hostel, regular outings are arranged for the residential students. The school has successfully created an ambience of comfort to transform the hostel into a ‘Home away from Home’ for students.
Surya Varsani Academy offers exceptionally comfortable hostel facilities for girls and boys alike. Groups of 4 students live in well-furnished homely accommodation with separate study tables and storage facilities for each individual. iAll hostel rooms are air conditioned. With recreational activities, indoor sports and entertainment, a sense of joy and happiness is created which positively kills homesickness. Under strict supervision and with the advantage of contemporary amenities hostel life blends academics and recreation, thus providing the right environment for learning and growing.
Full time wardens for both boys and girlshostel are appointed to cater to the needs.
Hostel medical facilities:Infirmary :Surya Varsani Academy believes in the active provision of comprehensive health care for all students. Two trained nurses are on duty in the infirmary throughout school hours. A full-time nurse is also available outside the academic day for the boarders. There is a well-equipped and advanced medical area, staffed by qualified medical attendants headed by a physician. Parents are always informed should their child need medical care and attention. In the unlikely case of a student becoming seriously unwell, the Academy will ensure that the transfer to hospital is speedily affected. As a proactive measure when students join the school parents are asked to provide information concerning any allergies, dietary requirements or existing medical conditions affecting their child. Parents are requested to empower the school to take decisions regarding treatment in the unlikely event of a medical emergency occurring at a time when they are not contactable.
Annual Health Check - up of SVA Students
Every student of the Surya Varsani Academy undergoes a health check-up once a year, carried out by the doctors of reputed local hospitals. The medical checks include eye, dental, ENT, and a general health check-up. Children are also examined by a pediatrician. Computerized records of the medical history of each child are maintained by the school.
We are in partnership with an excellent hospital, MMPJ, located a mere 10-minute drive from the school
Mess facilities:Dining.
Meal times are happy times at Surya Varsani Academy. All the children sit together and share meals. It is a good opportunity for bonding and fosters countless camaraderie between students. The teachers also eat with the children and this expedites a closer bond between them. The children are also taught dining room etiquette and table manners.
Dining halls serve hygienic and nutritious vegetarian meals under the supervision of a trained dietician, planned and coursed by a food committee. Requests for special diet, supported by medical evidence, are accommodated in cases of illness, convalescence and allergies to specific food items and the in-charge of the Kitchen takes note of this in particular. Our Kitchen is the place, where the heart of the school is, as it delivers the tastiest and healthiest food. Unlike “No Entry” policies in the food industry at large, parents of our wards can join us to relish the food anytime and have a gala time with us in the school dining area (canteen).
Junk food and carbonated beverage are not permitted. By insisting that the children should eat the nutritionally balanced and healthy food provided by the school, it is ensured that children acquire right food habits.
The Dining halls are segregated into two floors catering to the need of each and every class in accordance to the sections. Separate and spacious sitting arrangements are made for smoother transition from buffet counter to seats. A staff of 15 is always on toe to assist any child during the eating time. No food wastage is ensured by a special appointed staff member at the disposal thus ensuring that the students of SVA learn and respect the food they consume.
Sports:Sports.
Surya Varsani Academy is widely recognised and applauded across India for its world class sports facilities and excellent sports staff. The sports amenities complement the international standards present across the rest of the institution . Apart from an Olympic standard 50m swimming pool the sports infrastructure includes exquisite indoor and outdoor tennis and badminton courts, as well as separate zones for basketball, volleyball, football and athletics. There are separate facilities for indoor sports, including badminton, table – tennis and kick boxing. Our sprawling 30-acre campus enables one to get an awesome feel of one of the best sports facilities in this entire region.
The Academy's sports fraternity aims to introduce each and every student to schooling beyond the classroom, through a variety of indoor outdoor sports. We subscribe to the motto of a ‘healthy mind and a healthy body’ makes a complete person, SVA focuses on introducing the child to various sports in relation to his/her interest and skills. The sports teachers identify the natural abilities and interest of the child in designated sports and offer specialised training in those sports. The objective is to nurture the students to excel and represent the school in inter-school and state and national level competitions

Safety security hygiene:Campus Security.
Providing a safe campus for students, teachers and other residents is our utmost priority. Therefore, security personnel are deputed 24*7 at the main gate and other entry points in the campus. The entire campus is surrounded by a 12-feet high, well-hedged boundary wall, with barbed wire on the top for added protection. Each visitor to the campus has to register before entry with necessary details and is provided with a visitor’s pass, thereby restricting access and ensuring visitor tracking. Entry and exit points are under constant CCTV surveillance , which is reviewed by thesSchool administration regularly. The student residences, especially the hostel for girls, are guarded by well-trained security guards and two senior hostel caretakers.
The Academy is covered by a network of 200 CCTV cameras , making every nook and cranny of the school premises safe and secure for everyone.
Exchange program:Student Exchange.Surya Varsani Academy works with partner schools across the globe. The Internet is widely used for communication and the sharing of ideas, however we also use the platform to showcase our exchange of ideas at a global level. Furthermore,, we have student-exchange programmes with the Vijay International School, Praslin , Seychelles, where our pupils have the unique opportunity to visit the partner school and stay with host families. They also get the opportunity to host a pupil from a variety of other nationalities. Such exchanges enable pupils to experience new cultures, widen their horizons, and also see their own culture in a new light.
