Accommodation detail:VIS CHENNAI does not compromise upon any aspect of safety for the children and the premises are off-limits to anyone who does not have due permission.
Parents, vendors, visitors and others are required to go through the security systems in place, and follow the guidelines and instructions given to them by the Security Department.
The campus will be under CCTV surveillance. People entering as well as leaving campus will be required to go through security protocols in the safety interests of the students.
Hostel medical facilities:We have a tie-up with a leading multi-specialty hospital & research Institute in Kelambakkam. The campus is also equipped with 24×7 emergency healthcare support. VIS CHENNAI upholds the trust reposed in it by the parents of the students, with a robust approach to the students’ health and wellness. This entails classification of the medical circumstances into two – First Tier and Second Tier.
First Tier situations are primarily minor ailments / injuries which are attended by the resident doctor / nurse.
Second Tier situations are those of a serious nature which the school acknowledges and shall accordingly deal with, by associating with hospitals in close proximity.
In case of serious illnesses, parents will be notified and kept informed. If needed, they may be asked to take the child for treatment and recuperation.
In order to best perform our functions, VIS CHENNAI seeks a complete detailed medical form filled and submitted at the time of admission (refer to the admission procedure).
Mess facilities:Exceptional care is taken to provide the students with a balanced and nutritious diet.
The fare is a mix of vegetarian, non-vegetarian and Jain cuisine based on the students’ preferences with independent kitchens. The kitchens will have North Indian, South Indian and Continental foods.
The diet includes malt, dairy products, eggs, etc. Fruits and salads are also part of the menu.
Teachers / house parents supervise the preparation and serving of meals, and they have meals with students while engaging in informal interaction. This is to ensure that students eat well and remain healthy.

Admission Process:VIS Chennai seeks to enroll a broad range of children who will benefit from the approaches to learning, which the school offers. Admission of children to VIS Chennai will be based on a clear set of guidelines, with the intention of ensuring that each child who is admitted is placed in an environment in which the child may flourish. The school’s objective is to ascertain that the prospective student benefits from its full range of programs, is sympathetic to its aims, and positively contributes to the life of the school.
Detailed Admission Procedure:
Step 1:
Submit the online VIS Registration Form from the website ( www.vischennai.in )
Step 2:
The VIS Chennai Admissions team will reach out to you and brief you about the admissions process and fix up the schedule for the “Interactive Session” with Parents and Student.
Step 3:
Admissions Team will send an email with the appointment schedule and VIS Chennai brochure along with VIS Chennai video link to the parents. The details for the “Interactive Session” for you (Parents) and the student with the Admissions Panel via Video Call (online) will be shared.
Step 4:
On the date and time of the scheduled Appointment for the Online “Interaction session”, the VIS Admissions panel will interact with you (Parents). The interaction session will have a brief about VIS Vision, its Educational Approach and Boarding Philosophy. The Panel will answer all your questions / clarifications, also ask questions to understand the motivation and engagement requirements of the Student and the Parents.
The Interactive Session will have two parts:

Session – I Prospective Student 30 to 45 minutes
Session - II Prospective Student’s Parents 30 to 45 minutes
Step 5:
Further to the Interaction session within 3 working days, the Shortlisted student’s Parent will be communicated via email with regards to the next steps i.e., Campus Visit (mandatory) and Admission process. The Campus Visit – Scheduled appointment with date and time will be given in the email.
Step 6:
On the scheduled appointment date and time, the prospective student’s Parent (s) / Guardian will visit school campus. Have a complete campus tour guided by the Admissions team
Step 7:
After the Campus visit by the Parent (s) / Guardian, they need to obtain the “Admission Kit” from the Admissions Team.
Step 8:
You will be required to fill and submit the “Admission Form” along with the payment of Admission fees. Academic team will issue the Admit Card and will assign the section of the child.
Step 9:
Parents will have to submit the documents listed in the admission kit on the same day or within 4 working days from campus visit day.
Step 10:
Within the next 7 working days of the campus visit, the formal “Admission Offer Letter” and Student / Parent Handbook soft copy will be sent by the Admission team via email.
Step 11:
Issue of text books / stationary and Uniform will be given on the arrival first day or a week before the opening of the school.
