CBSE board exams Term 2 for class 10 and class 12 are starting from 26th April 2022. Previously, the CBSE board exams were held every year in March and the result was announced in May. CBSE decided to undertake the board exams 2021-22 in two sessions from this year in the view of Covid-19. The Term 1 CBSE board exam was held in November 2021 and the results were announced in February 2022. Since the CBSE term 2 board exams will commence from 26th April 2022, there are a few details for students to know.

CBSE term 2 examination date

The cbse board exam date 2022 class 10 and cbse exam date 2022 class 12 is April 26, 2022. The board has already released the cbse date sheet for both class 10 and class 12 on 11th March 2022. The 10th board exam time table 2022 mentions the exams from 26th April to 24th May whereas the 12th board exam time table 2022 mentions the exams from 26th April to 15th June. Students can find the cbse date sheet 2022 class 10 pdf download and the cbse date sheet 2022 class 12 pdf download on the official website. The exam for both the classes will be held in one shift only and the timings will be 10:30 to 12:30. The students will get 15 minutes extra for reading the question paper.

Admit Card

The cbse admit card for both classes is already available on the website for download. It is mandatory for the students to carry their admit card to their examination centre to appear for the exam. The cbse admit card 2022 class 10 and class 12 is released by the board for both regular and private candidates. The cbse admit card term 2 can be downloaded from the official website https://www.cbse.gov.in/ by best CBSE schools in Visakhapatnam and private candidates. The regular candidates cannot download the admit card on their own, the best CBSE schools in Jaipur and other cities need to download them for the registered students from their school profile.

Sample Paper and Blueprint

Since there is less than a week left for the board exams to start, it is important for the children to make the best use of their time in preparation. Students can check and solve the CBSE board sample paper 2022 to get an idea about paper structure and their preparation. Also, the CBSE board previous year question paper can be downloaded from the official website which can help in the exam preparation.

Results

The board has not yet announced the date for the cbse class 10 and cbse class 12 board exam 2022 results. The students are expecting the results to be combined marks of Term 1 and Term 2 examinations, however there is no such clear remark regarding the evaluation by CBSE. The cbse class 10 and cbse class 12 result is already announced for Term 1 and can be accessed on the CBSE results website.

Reading Time: 3 minutes

A few years ago, blockchain, the public distributed ledger technology, was merely limited to cryptocurrency but with time and tide, it is extending its reach to nearly every sector of the economy. Education being one of the prominent ones has many potential advantages coming along the Web 3.0. The national board CBSE, using it for board result documents as Academic BlockChain Documents has officially started the Blockchain functioning in the pedagogy sector. Indeed this is just the antecedent, there is much more to come.

CBSE has always been a step forward in maneuvering various IT initiatives peculiarly in the examination domain. Following the same traction, CBSE has come up with an innovative solution, ‘Academic BlockChain Documents’ or the ABCD using Blockchain tech to record the results in a linked chain structure and therefore enforce a transparent, paperless, and tamper-proof use of board certificates.

CBSE and its ABCD initiative

CBSE is not just known for its well-structured comprehensive curriculum followed by the Best CBSE Schools in Visakhapatnam and other schools but is also known for the lead in employing pioneering IT systems implemented for stakeholders and functions of the board. Academic {Blockchain} Documents have been established using Web 3.0 to record CBSE academic documents by associating them like a chain. The ABCD chain records academic documents in the distributed ledger by the inclusion of all participating nodes. Any data recorded in Blockchain is based on consensus among nodes and is recorded and updated simultaneously at all locations in the distributed networks. Because of this reason, there is no need for verification by third parties. Along the same lines, the data are linked and stored with cryptographic security so that they are immutable and traceable.

CBSE has collaborated with the Centre of Excellence for Blockchain Technology of the National Informatics Centre that falls under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) to roll out the Academic BlockChain Documents software. Presently the nodes are established at Bengaluru, Pune, and Jaipur, and the certificate chain system is managed by NIC at its data centers. Previously CBSE was using the DigiLocker to authenticate and provide certificates to students for board results.

How is it beneficial?

One of the major challenges CBSE faces is the verification and authentication of certificates produced for admissions, loans, jobs, etc. To process the genuineness of these certificates needs considerable processing time and effort. This is the reason why most organizations ask to present the original certificate while applying for higher studies, jobs, and loans. The ABCD software addresses this problem as the distributed ledger records data with the ownership of all stakeholders that can be verified without any hassle.

The system can be used by various organizations and educational institutions for job offers or higher education. The same can be helpful to authenticate the documents needed for loans since the system is tamper-proof, transparent, and has no dependency.

How can the documents be verified?

The documents can be verified using the ABCD portal and entering the basic information to view the academic records like roll number.

The educational institutions can get themselves registered with CBSE to utilize the bulk verification tool and API-based verification.

For now, the academic documents for the years 2019, 2020, 2021 for classes X and XII are in the ABCD system and gradually CBSE will concatenate the previous years’ documents too.

About CBSE Board

CBSE is the national board of our country and because of this fact, it has the biggest advantage of being conducive to the pattern in our country. The syllabus is in proper sync with the major competitive examinations such as IIT, AIEEE & NEET. The board focuses more on Mathematics and Science along with the round development of a child’s personality and intellect. The board’s education also takes charge of laying the foundation for the cultural growth of a child. It has a pan India presence with around 24,000 schools in India including the Best CBSE Schools in Nagpur.

Blockchain has just begun settling in the education tract and with CBSE using it for the board, certificates have kindled their way. Blockchain is yet to revolutionize the education sector and with its potential use as maintenance of student records, information storage, course evaluation, digital examination, and more, the best of decentralized tech in education is yet to come.

Reading Time: 4 minutes

CBSE announced a special scheme on 5th July 2021 according to which students of 10th and 12th standards will give two term-end exams each of them with a rationalized syllabus. Under the same, first-term examinations will be held in November-December 2021 whereas the second term exams will be held in March-April 2022. CBSE also imposed major changes in the syllabus and exam pattern. Now that the CBSE term 1 exams scheme has been released, students are doubtful and perplexed with how the paper will be, its difficulty level, what to focus on, and how to ace it. The following content piece will address a few of these questions.

What does CBSE’s new scheme say?

The new scheme has been introduced to avoid any unprecedented situation due to the pandemic next year. The following are some of the major changes introduced:

The 10th and 12th class students will appear for board exams divided into two terms, each of which will cover half the syllabus of the academic year.

The first term examination will be held between November-December 2021 and the second term between March-April 2022, both with a window of 4 to 8 weeks.

The term 1 examination paper will consist of Multiple Choice Questions or the MCQs including case-based MCQs and MCQs on the assertion-reasoning type.

The term 2 examination paper will be a subjective/objective type examination but if the Covid-19 situation persists, the exams will be conducted in MCQ format like that of Term1.

The exam will be of 90 minutes duration and will cover the rationalized syllabus of respective terms (approximately 50% of the course in each term).

What should be the preparation strategy for students?

Now that CBSE term 1 exams are from 30th November, now is the right time to get your strategy into motion. To ensure students sail through the latest changes without any hassles, here are a few tips to help:

Prepare according to the datesheet

The examination schedule for the 10th and 12th classes is out, students can check it and organize their preparations accordingly. The exams that need thorough preparation should be given priority and the ones with relatively easier preparation can be taken up at a later time. The most important part is revising what you have studied, so students need to leave a proper room for that.

Find the date sheet of CBSE term 1 exams for the 10th and 12th (major subjects) here.

Check the syllabus

Since CBSE has reduced the syllabus, students need to take a look at which chapters are coming in term 1 and which are not. Plus, time can be divided into all the subjects only after considering the syllabus. The exam will cover 50% of the syllabus, so one can devote considerable time to each subject easily.

You can check the CBSE term 1 exams syllabus here.

Get familiar with the exam pattern

The CBSE board exams have always been subjective but for the first time, they are going to be MCQ based. There will be 40 questions having 4 options to be done in 90 minutes. It is advised to get to good practice of solving MCQ questions by exercises or mocks. Keeping MCQ questions in mind, one must have an eye on detail while preparing the syllabus and studying. Another important point to be considered while practising is completing the questions within a given time limit. Solving questions won’t just help in revising but will also give a glimpse of the actual paper. Afterall the only mantra to ace any exam is -” Practice, practice and practice”

Get your basics strong with NCERTs

The board examinations have always emphasized NCERT based curriculum. The students should revise and read the NCERT books in detail to get their concepts clear. Case study based questions were introduced in the CBSE curriculum in 2020 to introduce a practical approach testing the practical skills of students. These questions don’t require a direct approach but rather test analytical skills and will be an integral part of term 1 and term 2 CBSE exams, so students should get a good hold of solving these.

Be confident and stay motivated

A lot of students feel pressured to perform well in the examinations and hence get scared and under-confident despite preparing well. This affects the exams and their confidence. Already the pandemic has created a hard time for students and with examinations coming up, you might feel anxious. Be relaxed, take some time out of studying and do what you like, take a walk or watch a show. The only way to do well in an exam is to prepare well and give it a calm state of mind.

Well, the CBSE term 1 examination starts on 30th November 2021, and students have more than a month to win the battle. Prepare your timetable, and blend yourself in the environment of preparation. All the best!

The New Education System emerges with an increased number of Education Board. A thorough analysis of the learning approach and evaluation criteria will enable parents to arrive at a conclusion. This article will help parents on the choice of best CBSE schools and the full form of CBSE is – Central Board of Secondary Education.

CENTRAL BOARD OF SECONDARY EDUCATION- CBSE

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national board of education in India for public and private schools. It is monitored and managed by the Union Government of India. There are approximately more than 20,000 schools in India and around 220 schools in more than 25 foreign countries affiliated to the CBSE. All schools affiliated to CBSE follow the NCERT curriculum. The main purpose of envisaging a body like CBSE is to grant affiliation to worthy schools. Any school which has been granted CBSE affiliation has to run operations according to the CBSE guidelines. These schools also have to follow the 10 + 2 system of curriculum of study as suggested by CBSE.

Objective– ensures there are innovative teaching methods to provide stress-free education.

Syllabus-emphasis on the use of NCERT books on which most of the National Entrance examinations are conducted.

Examinations

AISSE– All India Secondary School Examination Class -10

AISSCE– All India Senior School Certificate Examination – Class -12.

Admissions in CBSE school in India

The academic year in a CBSE school starts in April or June depending on the location. Each year the CBSE schools open doors to many new students. With limited seats and timelines of the process having professional counselors to support is a good idea.

Requirements;

All identity documents of the child and parents is a must

If the child has attended a school previously the transfer certificate and previous reports cards are important

Proof of residence is another important document

A general interaction with the school staff is a common practice in most CBSE schools

While for higher grades certain CBSE schools take entrance tests as well

CBSE affiliation

The pre-affiliation norms apply for schools aspiring for a CBSE affiliation and the post-affiliation process applies to schools that are already inspected by the affiliation committee and their recommendations have been affirmative.

Notably, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is the national board of school education that has 27783 affiliated schools to date with a student count of 2 crores instructed by 70 lakhs teachers. I believe changes of such proportion in an enterprise like CBSE are bound to have noteworthy effects on education in India.

The revamped affiliation bye-laws October 2018, which came into effect, are expected to benefit many, not in the least the school promoters or edupreneurs who are seeking to start a school with CBSE affiliation.

CBSE provides affiliation to the schools within the country and abroad, the nomenclature used by CBSE for different types of affiliation is listed under –

Approval for Middle Class Syllabus which implies issuance of permission by the board to run the board’s curriculum till class VIII.

General Affiliation of a Secondary School or Senior Secondary School.

Upgradation of a school approved for Middle Class Syllabus up to Secondary or Senior Secondary Level.

Upgradation of an affiliated Secondary School up to Senior Secondary Level.

Switch over from Schools upto Secondary and Senior Secondary Level. Schools already affiliated with other Boards of education are granted affiliation to CBSE under this category.

Regular Affiliation of schools – One-time regular Affiliation will be granted to the schools run by Government and related societies like Central Schools, Navodaya Vidyalayas, Sainik Schools etc.

Technology and innovation in teaching methodology in CBSE

Education has been more or less constant for many years because change is considered risky and more prone to failure. But now that we are standing at the cusp of digital transformation and technology; education too is evolving to cater to the changing needs. It is this void that new age educationists aim to fill through the CBSE Curriculum based on life-skills.

However, this places high expectations on teachers and subject matter experts to be able to quickly pivot their mode of pedagogy and adopt a new one. At this stage, it is important to understand that every teacher will have to go through an unlearning curve to be able to transform oneself.

With CBSE also joining the bandwagon of change and introducing new age curriculum for the next generation students, teachers are monumental in being the medium through which this change successfully gets executed.

The role of the classroom teacher is extremely important in driving this massive change in the educational model. And thus it is important for every teacher out there to stay motivated and understand the new model and then put it into practice through everyday lesson plans.

What are CBSE results and how they indicate the school performance

The CBSE board results are a reflection of the school’s overall culture in terms of commitment to students’ performance & the support rendered to them and the commitment towards faculty development..

What is a Pass-percentage?

The pass percentage of the CBSE Board Examination results tells you the percentage of students who passed the examinations. While CBSE full form would have been somewhat understood by now, its important to understand what is a pass percentage. There are schools which have 100 % of the student’s passing.100% pass percentage means that each child’s learning gaps are assessed and on this basis, remedial teaching is provided to the children, focusing on individual needs and learning gaps. This also means that the teachers are adopting differential teaching methodologies to cater to children of different learning styles in a class. In totality this means that if your child studies in this given school, and if and when he would have any learning gaps, they would be addressed on individual basis.

What are distinctions?

This is an indicator of how far the CBSE School would go to ensure mastery over a given subject in a given class. This is a quality indicator on how well the teachers are trained to adopt strategies to enhance the students’ interest in a subject and in understanding individual learning differences. It also indicates the effectiveness of capacity building programmes conducted for teachers. For it is because of these Continuous Development Programmes for teachers that helps them hone the required skills.

What is the average score?

While we are talking about the CBSE full form it is important to know the scoring. This score is the average of the aggregate marks of each child. There could be a higher number of distinctions per subject. However, a high school average would mean that each child has scored good marks. The higher the school- average, the better each child has scored. This in turn reflects on the CBSE school’s efforts towards every single child’s performance.

What is percentile?

This score helps you assess how many children fall into specific percentage bars. For instance there are CBSE schools where the last percentile rank is 60% i.e. the last child who has passed the board exams has scored 60% marks in that school.

So, overall CBSE full form can be best understood by the explanation given here. The best CBSE schools are present across the country and even abroad. Cities like Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune have some of the best CBSE schools.
