Middle Years Programme or the IB-MYP

The MYP programme is designed for students between 11 to 16 years to prepare students for the challenges of IB-DP (Diploma Programme). IB-MYP is equivalent to the IB program high school from other boards like CBSE and ICSE.

The IB diploma programme is a two-year programme for students between the age of 16 to 19. IB-DP consists of two components, six subject groups, and the DP core. The curriculum has six groups of IB board subjects (Studies in language and literature, Mathematics, Sciences, Language acquisition, Individuals and societies, and The arts. The DP core includes the theory of knowledge, extended essay, and CAS (Creativity, Action, and Service). 

The prime features of the IB-DP programme are on:

  • It includes both internal and external assessments for the evaluation of a student’s performance. 
  • Study at least two languages to develop and amplify the understanding of others as well as their own culture. 
  • The IB-DP curriculum is structured around the learners that promote personal development, healthy relationships, and ethical responsibility in students. 

IB Career-related Programme

IB-Career related programme builds upon the MYP learning incorporating IB values to address career-related education. The students pursuing IB-CP have to undertake a minimum of two IB-DP courses and a core-CP that has four components and a career-related study. 

In an IB Career-related Programme:

  • Students undertake both internal and external assessments. Students undertake the IB-DP examinations which are examined by external examiners. The CP components are assessed internally by the school.
  • The curriculum is specifically for students who want to pursue studies in career-related fields.
  • The students gain skills in applied knowledge, communication, cross-cultural engagement, and critical thinking besides career-related studies that help them evolve both personally and career-wise.
