Bal Bharti Public School Pitampura, is the brainchild of the Child education Society, an apex body founded in the year 1944 by Late Lala Hansraj Gupta, an eminent and distinguished educationist, philanthropist and social worker. It is a co-educational school with Montessori, Primary and Secondary Departments, with the heads and co-coordinators for each department working as a team.

Bal Bharti Public School Pitampura, epitomizes excellence where students and teachers tread the ‘untrodden path’to achieve greater horizons in the pursuit of knowledge. Learning is fun and innovation is the silent mantra. Flying on the wings of imagination, the creative energy founds an outlet where each child is motivated and inspired to paint the canvas of life with different hues and colours celebrating their uniqueness. Innovative and exciting methodologies are synergized for establishing optimum learning opportunities.

At the pre primary level Bal Bharati Public School, Pitampura follows the Montessori methodology to stimulate and develop all the five senses of a child i.e. touch, hearing, sight, taste and smell. The school follows the Montessori principle of three R’s: reading, writing, and arithmetic. Along with academics, importance is also given to co-curricular activities for all round development of the child.

In 2007, the Child Education Society established a training centre at Bal Bharati Public School, Pitampura to improve the quality of teaching and inculcate professionalism, competency and empowerment amongst its teachers and staff members.

The school also set up a knowledge center in 2002 in collaboration with Educomp Solutions Ltd to develop customized teaching capsules for science, social sciences and mathematics and subsequently for other subjects.

BBPS, Pitampura gives due attention to sports and other extracurricular activities and provides regular coaching to its students. Besides, it also encourages students to participate in various inter-house and inter-school matches and Socially Useful Productive Work (SUPW).

Students are taught various activities such as instrumental music, kathak dance, bharatnatyam dance, table, best out of waste, fabric painting, clay modeling, glass painting, madhubani painting, meal planning etc.

The school promotes various clubs such as astronomy club, pinnacle club, gardening club, electronics club, paper recycling, heritage club, Aryabhatta club and energy club.
