As parents and students, understanding the curriculum’s framework helps make an informed decision.

The curriculum balances international relevance and content to reflect local contexts. The students gain a broad understanding of global issues and also learn about the unique cultural and societal aspects of their own country. The curriculum is offered in over 10,000 schools across 160 countries, making it one of the most widely adopted educational frameworks worldwide. The Best Boarding Schools in India offer the curriculums that rightly suit your child.

Structure of the Curriculum

The Cambridge Curriculum is branched into four stages. Each stage is crafted to its foundation for knowledge and intellectuality. The transition from one stage to another carries bundles of subject proficiency.

Cambridge Early Years: For students aged 3+ years, it is a play-based program. They are taught skills essential for the next stage of learning.

Cambridge Primary: For students aged 5+, with 10 subjects to choose from, this stage focuses on learning core subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Science. It emphasizes developing literacy, numeracy, and scientific inquiry skills.

Cambridge Lower Secondary: For students aged 11+, this stage has 13 subjects to choose from, and continues to build on the core subjects while introduced to a wider range of subjects, including languages, humanities, and technology. It prepares students for the more rigorous studies of upper secondary education.

Cambridge Upper Secondary: For students aged 14 to 16, it offers two routes for learners, which are Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge O level. There are over 70 subjects in IGCSE to choose from, whereas Cambridge O level offers 40 subjects.

Cambridge Advanced (AS & A Levels): It is designed for students aged 16 to 19, with a focus on preparing them for university and higher education. Students have the flexibility to choose from 55 subjects and their combinations. AS and A Levels are recognized by universities worldwide. A Levels are two-year courses, while Cambridge International AS Levels are one-year courses.

Cambridge Curriculum teaches beyond textbooks. The curriculum serves as a global platter of education and knowledge. It has a holistic approach, flexibility to meet students’ needs, and a rigorous approach to teaching and evaluation. For a student wanting to pursue an international university or a career in the global industry, the Cambridge curriculum lays the right and strong foundation for a radiating future.

As a student, you’re probably always looking for ways to boost your learning and get the most out of your education. While there isn’t one silver bullet that will work for everyone, there are definitely some strategies that can help. In this post, we’ll discuss three tips for boosting your learning that has been shown to be effective. So read on, and see which ones might work for you!

Get enough sleep! A good night’s sleep is essential for focus and concentration

Students are no strangers to late nights. Whether it’s pulling an all-nighter to finish a paper or staying up late to cram for an exam, students often find themselves sacrificing sleep in order to get ahead. However, while staying up late may seem like an effective way to get ahead, the reality is that it can actually have a negative impact on focus and concentration. Students who get a good night’s sleep are able to focus better and retain information more effectively than those who don’t. So next time you’re tempted to burn the midnight oil, remember that a good night’s sleep is essential for focus and concentration.

Eat breakfast in the morning to jumpstart your metabolism and give you energy

Breakfast is often described as the most important meal of the day, and for good reason. Breakfast provides the body with essential nutrients and energy to start the day. Without breakfast, you are more likely to feel tired and sluggish. Breakfast also jumpstarts your metabolism, helping your body to burn more calories – if you’re looking for a way to boost your energy levels and give your metabolism a boost, make sure to eat breakfast every morning.

Take breaks during long study sessions to avoid burnout – get up and walk around, or do some light stretching

If you’ve ever gotten to the end of a long study session and felt like you could barely keep your eyes open, you’re not alone. It’s called burnout, and it happens when you’ve been working on something for too long without a break. The good news is that there’s an easy way to avoid it: Just take a break! Get up and walk around, or do some light stretching. Not only will it help you avoid burnout, but it can actually help you learn better. That’s because when you’re stuck in the same position for too long, your brain starts to wander and it becomes more difficult to focus. So next time you’re feeling the urge to keep going, even though you’re starting to feel sleepy, remember that it’s actually better for your learning to take a break. Your brain will thank you for it!

Create a study schedule and stick to it – including time for breaks and fun activities

As any student knows, creating a study schedule is essential to success in school. But what many students don’t realize is that it’s just as important to schedule in time for breaks and fun activities. That’s right – even though it may seem counterintuitive, taking regular breaks can actually help you focus and retain information better. When it comes to fun activities, well, they’re important for keeping your sanity! So, if you want to ace your exams, make sure to create a study schedule that includes time for both studying and playing. Your grades will thank you for it.

Get an online tutor to boost your understanding

There are various platforms like course hero where you can do online learning but before investing everyone has a question in their mind that is course hero legit and you should do proper research about the platform you are thinking of choosing, only then move forward in this learning journey. Whether you’re struggling with math, science, or English, there’s a tutor out there who can help you boost your understanding. And best of all, you can get tutoring from mathematics in Dubai!

There are a number of benefits to getting an online tutor. First, it can provide much-needed motivation. If you’re struggling to stay engaged with your studies, a tutor can help you stay on track. Second, online tutoring can improve your performance. By working one-on-one with a tutor, you can identify and address areas of weakness more quickly and effectively. Finally, online tutoring is convenient and flexible. You can choose when and where to have your sessions, making it easy to fit tutoring into your busy schedule.

So if you’re looking for a way to boost your understanding, consider getting an online tutor. With the help of a tutor, you can overcome academic challenges!

Find a study buddy or group to help keep you accountable and motivated

When it comes to studying and learning, accountability is key. Whether you’re trying to learn a new language or hone your math skills, having someone to help keep you on track can make all the difference. A tutor or study buddy can provide guidance and support, offering feedback and helping you to identify areas in need of improvement. A study buddy can provide moral support, serving as a sounding board for ideas and providing encouragement when the going gets tough. And a mentor can offer wisdom and experience, sharing insights and helping you to develop a long-term plan for success. If you’re looking to get ahead, don’t go it alone – find a study buddy or group to help keep you accountable and motivated. You’ll be glad you did!

If you’re looking for a few more tips to boost your focus and concentration during the learning process, we’ve got you covered. Follow these simple guidelines and you should be able to get the most out of your study sessions – without burning yourself out. And if you want an extra edge, consider getting a tutor to help keep you accountable and on track. With a little effort, success is within reach!

Reading Time: 2 minutes

As the classroom learning resumes back to ‘normal’ after the long phase of virtual learning induced by COVID-19 pandemic, there is a completely evolved dynamics on the teaching and learning strategies. Digital learning has become a trend incorporated by teachers to make learning fun and easy and develop the Intelligence Quotient (IQ) of the students. Beyond the academic development, the educational journey is a holistic one with equivalent focus on sports and extra-curricular activities. The holistic growth of a child also includes incorporating Emotional intelligence or Emotional Quotient (EQ) in the learning strategies which can be an add-on for not just the current academic journey but also for the future career prospects.

So, what exactly is Emotional Quotient or Emotional Intelligence? What role does it play to build the academic journey of the students? Let’s find out.

Understanding EQ:

In the fundamental essence, Emotional Quotient or Emotional Intelligence is the ability to identify and interact with the emotions of self as well as other individuals involved. Emotional Intelligence can be classified into four aspects –

– Consciousness towards the emotions

– Thinking and reasoning out with the emotions perceived

– To discern emotions and the evolving changes with it

– Monitoring and management of emotions (self and others)

However emotional intelligence is a very complex concept which goes beyond the aforesaid defined parameters. It is an ardent task to comprehend emotional intelligence, until observed in action. Like, for instance,a teacher explaining a complicated chapter with patience and real-life examples also showcases Emotional Intelligence. A student unable to coordinate in a team and quits the team-work based project displays a low EQ.

So, what is the relevance of emotional intelligence?

Emotional Intelligence can affect several aspects of life, from academic performance to job prospects. EQ is considered equivalent to cognitive intelligence in academics, as management of emotions can make the grades better and enhance the self-confidence. This is also because emotionally intelligent students can effectively deal with any negative situation which could otherwise disrupt the academic performance. Emotional Intelligence helps to manage stress during exams, manage concentration, overcome disappointment over a lower grade or marks and can also easily identify self when in anxiety over an assignment and act accordingly instead of procrastination.

For subjects like English, Drama, Creative Arts, History, emotional intelligence makes it easy to understand as it requires influencing the human emotions. A good EQ also helps in networking skills and build strong relationships with the teachers and fellow students.

How to build Emotional Intelligence?

To have a strong emotional quotient, the first step is to assess and identify. Here are a few tips to work on emotional intelligence as follows:

– Observe the feelings and understand the reaction to different situations

– Make an attempt to anticipate your emotions

– Maintain a journal and pen the thoughts

– Change your perspective about failures, and consider it as opportunities and a learning lesson

– Practise Affirmations and keep a positive attitude

– Respond politely and consciously to any conflicts

– Channelize the emotions into creative hobby or fitness activity

– Implement active listening

It is not an overnight task to build a strong emotional quotient. It is a skill which grows over time with practice and patience along with conscious efforts over the years.

Sainik Schools are specialized schools functioning under the Ministry of Defence (MoD) which is managed by the Sainik Schools Society. The system of Sainik Schools was established in 1961 by V.K.Krishna Menon, then Defence Minister of India to ensure uniformity of classes within Indian Military’s Office Cadre. The aim was to impart the mental and physical training to the students to get admission into National Defence Academy (NDA) and Indian Naval Academy (INA). According to the 2021 figures, there are around 33 Sainik Schools prevalent in the country and MoD is working on establishing 100 additional schools in a boarding setup which is based on the Public-private partnership mode (PPP).

Education and Curriculum

The Sainik Schools follow intense curriculum with CBSE affiliation, New Delhi. The education and training prepares the boys with a holistic development so they are highly competent for NDA. The learning hours include coaching for the class X and Class XII board examinations and also provide mentoring and teaching for the UPSC examination for NDA. The mode of instruction for teaching is generally English however, English is not an imperative eligibility or requirement for admission. Also, one very important point to remember is that Sainik Schools prefer only Science stream for Class XII or equivalent.

Alongside, the academic supremacy, the students are inspired to inculcate creativity and communication skills by involving them in co-curriular activities and social work. The students are exposed to all key games and given a mandatory NCC training till grade 11. The training at Sainik Schools also includes adventure activities. The infrastructure of the school varies but generally has a huge playground to support all the intense training and build a conducive atmosphere for the boys.

Admission Process and Eligibility

The admission process at Sainik Schools involves clearing an entrance examination, after which there is a one-on-one interview followed by medical examination. The admission process for boys for grade 6 and grade 11 with entrance tests where selection process happens based on the merit in the entrance test and personal interview round. For grade 11, the examination marks of grade 10 also play an important role. For girls, the admission process is for class 6 over all the Sainik Schools.

The pattern of entrance tests for class 6 is tabulated as follows:

For admissions to Sainik Schools, age eligibility is also an important parameter. Both the boys and girls applying for Grade 6 should have their age between 10-12 years as of March 31 of the year of admission. For class 11, the boys applying for admissions should be under the 13-15 age group as of March 31 of the year of admission. Girls cannot apply for admissions to class 11 in Sainik Schools.

Reading Time: 2 minutes

One of the most premier educational institutions in the country, Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) is well-known for providing one of the finest quality education to its students. Affiliated to CBSE Board, Kendriya Vidyalaya follows a rigorous NCERT curriculum and gives equivalent importance to different sports and cultural activities to ensure a holistic development for the students. KV Admissions is a very extensive process and has a number of guidelines which the parents and the students should adhere to for a smooth admission process.

The KV admissions process for class 1 is conducted online via their website whereas the process for class 2 onwards is in offline mode. When working on the KV admissions process, it is imperative to be prepared with digital copy of the applicant’s photograph which is not larger than 256KB, scanned copy of the applicant’s birth certificate, transfer details regarding the parent or grandparent’s job, government certificate for economically weaker sections or any other special category, a valid email address and a valid mobile number. While processing the application for KV admissions, it is recommended to have only one application form for one school. If there are multiple applications to a single school, only the last one will be considered for the admission process. Also, one important thing to be noted is that in a Kendriya Vidyalaya with two shifts or more, each shift will be considered as a separate school or Vidyalaya for the application process.

For the application process of KV admissions, first the registration needs to be done on the website followed by filling the required details which includes basic information, details on the parents, selection of the schools followed by uploading the required documents and then checking the declaration and clicking on submit.

There have been certain revised guidelines issued by Kendriya Vidyalaya for the admissions following April 2022 for the classes 1 to 12. All the information regarding the updated guidelines for KV admissions can be accessed on the official website on the kvsangathan.nic.in. According to the updated information, the minimum age of the child should be six years on March 31 for admission in class 1. April 1 will also be considered eligible for the application. But, there is no minimum age limit for KV admissions to class 11 when the student is processing the application in the same year with no break in the study. There are also some reservations based on quotas which comprise 15 percent allocation from the total for Scheduled Castes (SC), 7.5 % the total for Scheduled Tribes (ST), and 27 % allocation for OBC-NCL.

For any applicant interested in KV admissions for class 11 from State Board, ICSE, NIOS can also get a seat as per the available vacancies. Alongside, fresh applications for admissions to class 10 and class 12 will also be given a seat as per the availability.

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Students are often anxious about the two foundation years of their career and have too many questions on 11th admission and 12th board examinations. With a number of career options available, students are confused on what stream to select, which board to opt for and accordingly make a crucial make-or-break decision for their career. Ideally, the criteria for 11th admission is based on the marks obtained in Class 10, but it is important to understand the interest and skill-set of the students and then make the final decision.

Categorically, there are three boards to choose for 11th admission– Science, Commerce and Arts or Humanities. There is a different format for different Boards and cities also play an important role when it comes to Class 11 studies. In the state of Maharashtra, for state board, students take admission in Junior colleges. Likewise, the states of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh have PU Colleges. The remaining states of the country have schools with affiliation to different boards like ISC, CBSE, IGCSE, IB and the respective state board.

Class 11th admission for Science:

Students wanting to pursue engineering, medicine, pharmacy, technology, and other sciences in detail apply for 11th admission in Science with subjects Physics, Chemistry and selection from Biology or Mathematics, or the student can opt for both. When aspiring for competitive entrance examinations like JEE, NEET, state CETs for engineering, medical or pharmacy, students need to start preparing right post class 11 admission as it requires intense preparation. Students generally opt for coaching classes with learning for board examinations along with the competitive entrance examinations. Certain colleges or schools also have an integrated coaching set-up and provide the option for dummy college or dummy school.

Class 11th admission for Commerce

Students aspiring to work in the financial sector, or pursue Chartered Accountancy or Company Secretariat or study law, one of the most ideal choices is to take class 11th admission in Commerce. Some of the key subjects in Commerce would be Economics, Accountancy, Business Studies, Organization of Commerce and Management. After taking admission in Commerce, the students also join coaching centers for preparation of board examinations and the foundation examination for CA and CS and preparation of Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) examination.

Class 11th admission for Humanities or Arts

Students aspiring to be economists, psychologists, anthropologists, lawyers, sociologists, and a plethora of other new age careers can take admission in Arts or Humanities. The key subjects are Psychology, Economics, History, Sociology, Political Science and Human Rights and Gender studies. Some of the students taking class 11th class admission in Arts may even start preparing for the civil service examinations in integrated coaching centers.

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Education is not merely achieving academic excellence, it is more about attaining all-round development. When it comes to comprehensive progress, a lot of factors come into play ranging from scholastic to co-scholastic areas. A major factor of how the student will develop and grow depends on the school curriculum. Over time, people are moving towards a global world, where citizens can approach and solve problems on an international level. Because of the same, many Best schools in Hyderabad have adapted the international curriculum. Here is what makes an international school worthy for your child’s education.

What is global or international education?

Global education is the form of learning that aims to foster human development by getting a better cognizance of international dynamics. This curriculum approaches to fix the existing pitfalls of the education system based on limited subject knowledge, memorization, limited knowledge,, human development resources and negligible practical exposure. Well, the primary difference between global education and traditional education is the approach and practicality. While the Best international schools in Hyderabad have their vision towards the future challenges students might face and need global attention, traditional education is more about the existing issues and their approaches.

An international system of education helps students develop a global perspective exploring varied cultures and experiences. However, attending Best Schools in Bangalore is not the only factor for students to gain an international perspective.

Features that make international schooling good for students

The global education system began in India in 1976 and over 45 years, there are more than 700 international schools in the country offering the best international programs. Here are some of the prime features of an international school:

Global outlook and varied culture

We live in a globalized world, having a universal outlook and wider mindset for students is important. International schooling facilitates this by offering skills and knowledge that encourage students to be active participants in the community. Along the same, children encounter various cultures, communities, and learning that helps students to appreciate the diversities across the world. The diverse enrollment of students and celebration of cultures creates a welcoming atmosphere where students can settle in easily. The Best International Schools in Ahmedabad have their curriculums thoughtfully designed in such a way so that students can embrace the differing culture around the corner.

Opportunity growth

The opportunities in the modern world require the candidates to be well versed in all domains. Children who pass out from an international school are confident because of their experience with diverse languages, cultures, and communities and henceforth can easily adjust to different environments. Employers these days look for international exposure and diversity and students of international schools are already prepared for the same.

Practical learning and holistic development

The traditional curriculum has its inclination towards academic brilliance and grasping concepts without much effort to visual exposure. A global curriculum ensures the balance between theoretical and practical knowledge, the international schools draft their syllabus and academics to go with it. It approaches students not to just learn things but also to adapt and experience them in real life. Moreover, Best Schools in Delhi give equal importance to sports, debates, competitions, fine arts, etc. to achieve a comprehensive way of learning.

Breaking language barriers

English is the global language that most countries consider for all professional and formal communication mediums. And the international schools have English as the medium of instruction and encourage students to be well versed in the same. This makes communication easier wherever they go for personal or professional reasons breaking language barriers.

Internationally recognized curriculum

The global education system follows the international curriculums specifically designed to keep up the standards of education. The international schools in India are affiliated with the IB and CIE board of education. However, there are various CBSE and Best ICSE schools in Hyderabad as well who have shaped their curriculum in the direction of globally set standards of learning. These international schools make the process of higher education easier and better for both in-country and abroad universities as they are recognized all over the world.

India holds great value in terms of its pedagogy, diversity, social well-being, culture, and economy. From play level to post-graduation, it is a hub of education with premier institutes contributing to its rich didactic worth. The K-12 Education Ecosystem In India creates a compelling case for schooling creating harmony between institutions, population, and learning approaches.

India boasts national and international level institutions in all disciplines of education. The K-12 education system here can be broadly divided into primary education, secondary and senior secondary education. Often before primary education, parents consider a pre-primary mode of learning through playgroups or pre-schools. This system goes from kindergarten to 12th and undergoes 14 years of education and exploration.

Pre-Primary School Education

A play school is where kids between the ages of 2 to 5 years learn the basic learning blocks. There is no formal way of learning, nor any predefined course or syllabus. The focus here is more on developing the social, and mental being of a child so that he can adjust to the pace of learning when he enters school.

Proceeding the playschool education, the pre-primary schooling has classes Nursery, LKG, and UKG where a child finally enters the K-12 education sphere and starts erudition. At this level of pedagogy, they are not exposed to complex learning, but rather experience basic learning like alphabets, poems, shapes, and basic calculation. The main focus at this stage is to create curiosity and a fundamental base of learning.

Primary Education

Primary education includes classes 1st standard to 5th or the Primary Years Program (International Board). It can be considered the first stage of formal education a child receives after stepping up from kindergarten. Here the child learns according to specific subjects, including Mathematics, Science, Social Science and language. One can find the Best Schools in Bangalore that help children develop and explore their creative, motor, community, oratory, and learning skills at the primary level.

Secondary education

Secondary education comes up with the introduction of new concepts and subjects. The subjects that were earlier taught as basic get into detail, like Social Science gets divided into History, Civics, Geography and Economics, and Sciences gets fragmented into Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The main aim of learning here is to make children explore what interests them in pursuing higher education. This lasts from classes 6th to 10th or the Middle Years Program (International Board).

Senior Secondary Education

The senior secondary level is the higher level of education where students select the stream they want to study. Broadly, the Science, Commerce, and Arts streams can be opted according to the academic interest of the child. This includes 11th to 12th standard, PU Diploma Courses, or the Diploma Program (International Board).

These 14 years of education help a child to get the best of his potential, explore his interests, and build confidence, social skills, and moral values that stay with them throughout their lives. Besides, focusing on academic excellence, the K-12 Education Ecosystem In India gives equal attention to developing the sports interest, creative skills and moral building of students.

Educational Boards

Well, the K-12 system is diverse and consists of many educational boards from State Board to International Boards. Each of these follows a different curriculum, examinations, and learning approach, here are the boards of education in India:

State Board: This is the board of education that falls under the State Government, each state follows its curriculum and examination format for students. It gives preference to the regional language, culture, state-level topics, and concepts of local relevance.

CBSE Board: CBSE Board or the Central Board of Secondary Education envisions a robust, vibrant, and holistic education that engenders excellence in every sphere of human endeavor. It is a national board of education for public and private schools founded with the aim of inter-state integration and cooperation in the sphere of secondary education, managed by the Government of India. Parents can find the Best CBSE Schools in Nagpur to provide quality education and promote intellectual, social and cultural vivacity.

CISCE Board

CISCE or the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations board consists of ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education) board for conducting class X examinations and ISC (Indian School Certificate) for class XII examinations. It is a privately-held national level board established to manage the examinations being conducted in India by the University of Cambridge. Best ICSE Schools in Indore offer students a holistic education with enough focus on practicality and understanding.

International Board

Besides the State and National Boards, the K-12 Education Ecosystem In India also houses the schools affiliated to the IB or the International Baccalaureate and IGCSE or the International General Certificate of Secondary Education, Cambridge University. The international board helps students gain a global perspective on education with a more practical and application-based curriculum. The International boards have a broader spectrum of subjects contributing to comprehensive development and helping students be global citizens. The Best International Schools in Ahmedabad emphasizes developing an international perspective in students.

The landscape of the K-12 Education Ecosystem In India has undergone quite an overhaul in recent times and still, a lot needs to be done.

Reading Time: 4 minutes

In India, ‘Food’ has been given the prime importance at every stage of life and at each part of the country. The culinary art and the art of feeding are considered as one of the biggest responsibility of every Indian mother. Any mother’s first question for a child post their school would be about finishing their ‘Tiffin’. A day is complete for a mother only when her child drinks a glass of milk. Food is an integral part of India. Each state can be easily divided by the kind of signature dishes that stands out as the cultural emblem. Food is not just a result of a recipe but food is considered as God in India which is the very embodiment of existence. One of the Sanskrit scriptures says that the divine and the ultimate element which tops the list of the worldly pleasures is “Food”. It is only when the hunger pangs are consoled, then comes the urge to acquire the other aspects like education, money and relationships.

अन्नपूर्णे सदापूर्णे शङ्करप्राणवल्लभे ।
ज्ञानवैराग्यसिद्ध्यर्थं भिक्षां देहि च पार्वति ॥११॥

The above shloka clearly states the importance of food in the life of a human-being. The phrase “ज्ञानवैराग्यसिद्ध्यर्थं” means that food is necessary to attain education and a happy comfortable life. The true source of energy, the calories converted as the fuel to do our daily activities is carefully designed and crafted to satiate our senses in all way. The eyes look at the garnishing, the ear hears the sizzle of the seasoning, the skin feels the texture, the nose attains the olfactory nirvana and the tongue enjoys the freedom of experiencing this amazing spectacle of spices. Food is not a word; it’s an emotion for we Indians.

Food and nutrition is one of the important components of growing years for children. According to UNICEF, under nutrition constitutes 11% of the global burden of diseases for children. Food is necessary, but food with better nourishment is equally necessary to have the perfectly balanced healthy life for any living creature. We humans who are the civilized category of the living organisms of the earth require food with the prescribed nutritional levels for the better cognitive and behavioral activities of our daily life. A journey of a child’s nutrition starts form its womb, graduates with mother’s breast feed and then growing up to be able to consume and synthesize energy through the normal food which is typically taken by an adult. Each age requires different level of nutrition for a better physical and mental development. The learning age of children definitely ask for nutrition that backs up the process of better learning activity. So how can food and better nutrition help the children learn better? How can a well balanced meal prove to be a better option for a better learning? Let us discuss some of the points:

Better behavioral development: Many of us believe that eating excess sweet based goodies like cookies and candies gives children a sugar rush and make them hyper. Similarly malnutrition can make uneven alterations in children’s behavior. Well nourished and balanced food will keep poise in the child’s activities by supplying necessary amount of energy for each and every action.

Balanced meal for physical well-being: Child obesity is one of the most prevalent conditions in the present days. Children with malnutrition- suffering from health issues are on the contrary a major problem as well. Therefore a well balanced, nutritious food is exactly what a child needs. Proper equilibrium will help the child run, play and conduct the other physical activities with good ease than compared with the child on a heavier side.

Improve concentration for better learning: A child who is fed with no food is as equal to a child who is over fed. Both would be unable to concentrate on their learning, resulting in a very dissatisfying learning experience. Food is like a gas of a hot air balloon. Low or higher flame can make the hot air balloon move helter-skelter, uncontrollably.

In India the concept of midday meals and providing milk for school children at some states is a welcome change by the government to provide proper resources for a better educational experience for a child. Children who come from lower income groups will seldom have any opportunity to consume some exotic food. But claiming what is their right – to have healthy wholesome meal…now this is what we have to be considerate about.

Food is not a luxury, it is a necessity. An exotic food can be a necessity for the richer class. But there are few unfortunate people in our country for whom the daily meal is itself a luxury. Let us join hands in giving our children better understanding about this. A food wasted could be a life saver for someone else. Teaching our kids not to waste food itself is educating them for a better future. A life without wisdom is like education without knowledge. Eating yes, wasting…No. Share this thought to make this world the best ever place to live in.

“EAT WHAT YOU TAKE AND TAKE ONLY WHAT YOU CAN EAT”

Heal the world, make it a better place
for you and for me and the entire human race
there are people dying, if you care enough for the living.
Make it a better place, for you and for me…

                                                                                                                  -Michael Jackson.
