Riverside Public School has pioneered the channel for new age education in the country and established a reputation for creating laurels in the field of education. The aim of Riverside is to ensure that students strive to excel in whatever field they put their heart and head in. At Riverside, the child is at the forefront of the educational system and they understand that a child should be taught to think and not what to think.

History

Founded in the year 2000, Riverside Public School is based out of The Nilgiris to serve the local community and beyond. Managing Director Mr Kavin Kumar Kandasamy believes that “Children are the very fabric of the future we weave and if we do not invest in them, we are not investing in our future”

Academics

Affiliated to the the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, I.C.S.E (for Standard 10) and I.S.C (for Standard 12) at both levels, Riverside Public School offers one of the widest choices of subjects. The list covers Mathematics, Sciences, Commerce, Humanities, Art, Sports, Dance and Music related subjects. ICSE is considered the premium of all syllabi offered in India.

The school also offers the option for students to attempt the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) for both the 10th and the 12th.

The school also offers training to students who wish to attempt competitive exams like (IIT and Other universities), Medicine (AIPMT, NEET and others), Law (CLAT), Humanities (IIT, TATA etc.), NDA and U.S universities (SAT).

The school in sync with FIIT JEE also offers an in-house integrated IIT curriculum

Infrastructure

Riverside campus is situated in the most scenic and magnificent setting of lush green stretches across a 12 acre stretch of land. Riverside Public School is located near the town of Kotagiri in the scenic mountain chains of The Nilgiris.

The classrooms are spacious, perfectly furnished and well -ventilated classrooms. They are also digitally designed and ideally updated with all the modern gadgets.

Activities

At Riverside, games and sports are daily activities which combine the values of being physically fit and also being able to compete in both individual and team sports.

In addition to sports, students are exposed to a variety of activities to enhance their exposure to various career fields that life has to offer like dance, art, music, theatre etc.All throughout the year, talented students get to showcase their prowess in multiple ways through competitions, festivals and workshops. The students are also exposed to MUN. The Model United Nations exposes the kid to various soft skills which helps the kid thrive in current circumstances.
