The prime focus at Isha Foundation Coimbatore is not only on developing a child’s intellectual capabilities, but also to provide opportunities to explore other varied aspects of life.Isha Foundation school is a stree free learning school.

History

Founded in 2005 by Sadhguru, the Isha Foundation school strives to incorporate his educational approach into its day-to-day teaching process.

The school’s greatest ethos is its experienced and talented faculty, who constantly challenge themselves and the students to participate completely in the symbiotic learning process.

Academics

The School is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) and Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).

The Junior School combines traditional methods of teaching with Montessori principles of education. 

In the Middle School study in vertical age groups; their homes are their learning spaces, and their main teachers are also their house parents.

Infrastructure

Isha Foundation School is located amidst the scenic surroundings of the Velliangiri Mountains near Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

The  School is spread across 67 acres of a huge campus and provides all the necessary facilities to ensure a healthy, comfortable, and pollution-free environment needed for children.

Activities

Here the co-curricular activities are an essential component of the educational process. The students have a wide range of options to choose from, and they pursue specific activities under the guidance of teachers and visiting experts.

Physical education is one of the central activities at Isha Foundation School and is delivered by a team of dedicated teachers. Students participate in daily morning jogging, and in athletics and evening team games, such as, cricket, football, volleyball, throwball, kho-kho yoga, martial arts and kabbadi. Students participate in a wide variety of intra-school events which culminate in the very popular Annual Sports Day event.

Fine and performing arts are a means to introduce subtler aspects and dimensions into student perception and are an integral part of the curriculum. Art, music and drama classes are an integral part of the daily routine.
