Set amidst open spaces and vast green play areas shaded by hundred year old trees, Joosten, is a magical kingdom in the heart of the city, that believes in nurturing young learners through its experiential curriculum. It offers two programmes - Montessori House of Children and Kindergarten. Montessori House of Children follows the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori and is a three year programme which admits children from the age of 2.5 years. This is completely an experiential curriculum that helps the children to develop curiosity, inquisitiveness and social skills. Children become independent learners as they have the freedom to choose their learning journey while the teacher plays the role of a facilitator. Learning through Montessori is fun, covering the domains of intellectual development such as language, math; sensorial development - developing sensorial skills for music, nature etc. Kindergarten is a two year programme that follows the principles of Friederich Willheim Froebel, who established the concept of Kindergarten. Lower and Upper Kindergarten are part of this curriculum that uses manipulatives, games and toys for the intellectual, spiritual and social development of children. In this programme, children develop the sense of responsibility towards nature, language, mathematics and senses through fun filled games, music, social interaction.
