Lourdes School is run by Archdiocesan Board of Education, Bangalore. The Parish Priest of St. Theresa’s Church is the Manager and Correspondent of the School. The institution is located at Cubbonpet on the very spot where once exited the little chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes. It was in the year 1947 that the school started functioning.Later on, the little chapel was shifted to a new place in J.C. Road where the present church stands dedicated to St. Theresa. As the number of students increased, the building was gradually developed by Rev Fr. John Castelino, and then by his successor Rev Fr. I. Anthappa who was also responsible for upgrading the school to the level of High School for both Boys and Girls, The other managers also contributed significantly for upgrading the Institution.
