The history of Lowry Adventist College began in 1915 when Elder G.G. Lowry established it in Coimbatore. In 1921, the school was moved to a rented quarters in Bangalore Cantonment. In 1931, another boarding school was started at Basavanagudi, Bangalore for the benefit of training Kannada speaking people.Lowry Adventist College is committed to excellence in higher education. Therefore, it seeks to provide an optimal environment in which the faculty and the student can mutually search for, assess and acquire the knowledge, skills, virtues and understanding necessary for a lifetime of education, service and leadership. In so doing, it seeks to further, both directly and indirectly, God's cause in the world.The College also operates two secondary schools one affiliated to the State Board and the other to the ICSE Council, New Delhi and also has started College of Nursing which is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science, Bangalore, Karnataka State - INDIA.
