Maharishi Vidya Mandir Sr. Sec School, Chetpet, Chennai-31 came into existence in the year 1983 with Yogasana, Pranayama and Transcendental Meditation as the integral part of the Curriculum, with a motto, “Knowledge is structured in Consciousness”, as advocated by our spiritual Guru and founder His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Ypgiji. A modest beginning with a student strength of 75 in 1983, the school marched progressively with increased student strength and enormous infrastructural facilities in the years that followed. Within a short spell of 34 years, the school developed on the wings of success and earned a reputation in maintaining the educational standards. New ventures and experiments promote the holistic development. The activities in Scholastic and Co-Scholastic domain are manifold. Be it Academics, Special Activity or Cultural Fiesta, Service Movements, Sports, Technology aided learning and Personality Development, there is total response in promoting the awareness of the students in each and every branch of learning processes.
