Vels Vidyashram took its humble birth in 1998. The founder of the school Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh a great visionary wanted to build up a school with excellence as its watchword in all aspects. He was able to establish this with the help of Dr. Mrs. Y.G. Parthasarathy, Dean and Director PSBB group of schools. The school at Pallavaram, Chennai mainly caters to the Educational needs of the suburb and now trying to have a growth of meaningful nature synonymous with the new global order by being flexible and adaptable to the current day changes. Vels Vidyashram is the recipient of the prestigious INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL AWARD of the British Council for three consecutive terms (2007 - 2010) , (2011 - 2014) & (2015 - 2018).
