The Anglo Arabic Senior Secondary School is basically established as Madarsa Ghaziud-Din by Ghaziud-Din Feroze Jung one of the General of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb at the end of 17th century. Initially it was a place for giving spiritual education to elite class of walled city. However, with the weakening of Mughal Empire, the Madarsa closed in the early 1790s, but with support of local nobility it stood again as centre for oriental literature, science and art in year 1792
