Encouraged by the response and co-operation of the elite society of Indore, this separate Pragya Girls School came into existence in Mahila Sashaktikaran year, 2001. The foundation stone was laid by the eminent educationist Mrs. Padmanabhan and Mrs. Shalini Tai Moghe and it was inaugurated by the Chief Minister Mr. Digvijay Singh in 2002. The beautiful school campus is stretched over 8 acres of land in a serene, quiet and pollution free environment in Bhicholi Mardana near its parent institute, Vidyasagar School. The school is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education with the Affiliation Number 1030253. It is fully equipped with all facilities. The school is from Class Nursery to Class XII and offers three subject streams namely Science, Commerce and Humanities in class XI and XII.

The School emblem depicts an open book with a girl child in front of a temple, placed on the platform with a motto,"Enter for knowledge, exit for service". The open book is a symbol of knowledge, learning and enlightenment.

For Pre Primary Class (Nursery, KG-I, KG-II,) there will interaction with the parents and students. The child will be verbally examined. For Classes I and II, the admission will be given on the basis of oral interaction and the grades obtained in the previous class. For classes III to IX, written test will be conducted on the basis of syllabus in the previous class. For class XI, written test will be conducted on the basis of the syllabus of class X and subject choice will be given according to the marks obtained in class X as well as in written test.
