Accommodation detail:Being a residential school & college we play a dual role of academic instruction and parenting. Student’s well-being and sense of comfort are top priorities at Vidya Niketan School & Junior College. Our spacious dormitories are the area for relaxing, socializing and studying which is nothing but a Home away from home. Each dormitory is headed by a house parent living within the dormitory premises. They create family environment with loving supervision and guidance. LCD TV, Fans, Western style toilets and bathrooms with hot water are the key facilities provided with each dormitory.
Hostel medical facilities:School places high importance on the health and safety of its staff and students. The school has modern medical facilities supported by qualified medical staff. Facilities for nursing of common routine ailments and accidents are available 24*7. The resident medical staff stays on the campus to attend to the children at any odd hours. The school also has a tie-up with a multi-specialty hospital in Panchgani. We also consult specialist for different medical problems of child. We have a well equipped ambulance for emergencies.
Mess facilities:A modern and spacious kitchen serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. Meals are prepared under hygienic conditions with careful supervision. Every attention is paid to prove a balanced diet . The menu includes food starting from the ethnic Indian cuisine of rice, dal, roti and vegetables to typical favourites like chicken curry, biryani etc. Seasonal fruits, variety of salads, sweet dishes etc. The spacious dining hall is well laid and provides ample space for students to have their meals comfortably. Separate sections are maintained for vegetarian and non-vegetarian students. Discipline and decorum pervades the dining hall and students begin every meal with a prayer. Cleanliness is of supreme concern and strictly maintained to ensure contamination free environs and hygienic conditions. Five meals are served everyday : Breakfast, Cookie break, Lunch, High tea, Dinner . The menu is well planned in consultation with nutritionists and the school doctor and school nurse.

The five acre playground hosts a number of sports including the biggest sports festivals THE ANNUAL SPORTS MEET, CRICKET TOURNAMENT, INTER SCHOOL MATCHES. Various activities of sports are held so as to inculcate the importance of physical fitness among the students. The students are divided into three houses for the purpose of sports activities. The skill of each student is identified and nurtured, and they are give the opportunities to excel and join the school and college sports team. Apart from organizing inter-house competitions, the school/college participates in District, Zonal and State levels. Annual sports day is conducted to identify best students in athletics, and they are awarded with suitable prizes. NAVAL NCC Troop :- Vidya Niketan School has 100 cadets for NCC troop. It is guided under 3(MAH) NAVAL UNIT NCC, Pune. Cadets of our school attended NCC Combined annual Training Camp 713 held at NCC Group Head Quarter, Pune from 18th August to 27th August 2017, where cadets were involved in different NCC activities like drill practices, weapon training and map reading. After completing the certificate course, the cadets are confident to step out in the world of competitions and get an opportunity to explore the ocean.
