In June 2006 Sr. Antonette Monteiro became the Principal of the School. With her innovative ideas, Sister has taken the school to great heights. To cater to the growing demand for convent education, our school started with two divisions in the Pre-Primary section in the year 2006. Today, by natural process of growth, we have two divisions up to the tenth standard. It became necessary to have new and bigger furniture for our growing children. In 2007, benches made of solid wood with iron frames were bought. The Sisters of Jesus and Mary of the Province of Pune took up the initiative of starting an English medium Co-educational High School in Kharghar, from Pre-Primary to Std. X. The kindly deed of sowing a seed of establishing Convent of Jesus and Mary High School in Kharghar was possible because of the vision of our Jesus and Mary Sisters, of our Provincial Government led by Sr. Lucia and her Council and later by Sr. Astrid, Sr. Diana and their Councils. This seed has now sprouted as you see, into the beautiful Convent of Jesus and Mary High School and Junior College, on the same land which once seemed a barren place with reptiles crawling from the hills around surrounded by nothing, but wilderness. Convent of Jesus and Mary (CJM as we are referred to) ICSE School is a new system which commenced in April 2017. It has been functioning thus far and as we move ahead on this new journey, we pray for God’s guidance and strength because without Him we can do nothing. Our prime aim is to provide an all-round development to the students, based on the values of Christian Education and the Vision and Mission of our Foundress St. Claudine Thevenet. We firmly believe that each child is uniquely created by God and our task as JM Educators then is to help each child to grow to her full potential through love and acceptance, so that they in turn, will have much to offer this world.
