Tapas School is a 100% Project-Based Learning school where students learn by doing. Tapas School combats the problems of student disengagement and low academic achievement by creating personalised, project-based learning environments where students are given the impetus to be the best they can be! Tapas focuses on STEAM Education. At the core of the school is the curriculum, which is derived from the Cambridge curriculum. Tapas has customised the curriculum to the needs of the Indian students and implemented Project-Based Learning to impart education while being conscious of the Indian Ethos. Our youngest children (6-8 yr olds) have completed their first year with Tapas and spent the year learning banking, event management, alternate fuels for cars, city planning, and a lot more through project-based learning. And they are all thriving in the freedom given to learn! The following academic year, the learners will be working on Mental Health, Conservation of Forests, Hybrid Cars, Growing a Kitchen Garden, Consulting for an Ice Cream company, and a lot more. Through project-based learning, students are learning real-life skills whilst also meeting the academic milestones as set by IGCSE.
This is one of the only 100% Project-Based Learning Schools in India.
Tapas focuses on a practical understanding of concepts and skill-building amongst learners, rather than focusing on memory building.
