Highlights

Academics:Transdisciplinary approach has always been at the core of our DNA. Even while this approach is being contemplated at national policy level to improve the quality of education in India, over many years we have been a pioneering practitioner of it. At TCIS, we believe that teaching a child to question, think and learn are the most important factors for facilitating learning. Our inquiry-led and transdisciplinary education framework challenges learners to think for themselves and take responsibility for their learning as they explore local & global issues and opportunities in real-life contexts, which enable them in problem solving and to take responsible actions. TCIS follows an enhanced curricular approach by inculcating the best practises of International Baccalaureate (IB) in to the core CBSE curriculum that lays a strong foundation, thereby making the subsequent stages of Preparatory, Middle and Higher Years more meaningful and effortless when the orientation moves up gradually from concept building to multidisciplinary concept integration and to career orientation in line with the core CBSE philosophy. Our unique blended pedagogical approach during the Foundational Years combines the best practises of textbook learning with experiential learning. The approach allows TCIS to design its curriculum to promote inquiry, stimulate children’s innate sense of wonder and natural desire to seek answers to their questions. TCIS has a learner-centric framework focusing on learner’s academic, social and emotional well-being and encourages students to take responsibility for their learning through fostering intrinsic motivation. Experiential learning combined with textbook learning forms an important part of this approach which makes the pedagogy far superior than the conventional
Sports:As per Milo Grit Advantage Report, 80% employers see “grit “as the most important trait that drives a child’s future success. Psychologist Angela Duckworth says grit is a far better indicator of success than IQ or talent. She defines it as the ability to stick with and pursue a goal over a long period and it encompasses qualities of courage, determination, resilience, tenacity, passion, persistence, endurance and excellence. Sports is where the child learns grit from and sports is there in every breath of TCIS. TCIS has some of the best sports-educators specialised in these sports, who themselves have excelled in their sporting career, some representing India/states in many international/national events and some even holding world/national records. Predictably, TCIS has produced many sporting talents who have made their mark in their respective fields. We take pride in the fact that many TCItes have reached the heights of representing various sports at international, national and state level.
Safety security hygiene:Safety and security are high attention areas in TCIS. We have walked the extra mile to ensure safety cover to every single child in TCIS. All safety protocols at TCIS are guided by our well established safety and security policy.
Exchange program:A unique in-house program to connect TCItes with some of the most prominent Universities both in India and Abroad. It aims to give TCIS’ Higher Year students invaluable exposure to explore, understand, interact and experience the global thought leaders thereby widening their outlook. These are some of the unique initiatives of TCIS to really help make our students Tomorrow’s Leaders. TCIS has built a strong team to drive these initiatives, which will see much higher width and depth as we move forward. Under this program, we join hands with renowned Universities to conduct programs for TCItes to build global competencies and global outlook. Our recent engagement with The University of Queensland, Australia to run an immersive seven month entrepreneurship development program for our Grade 11 students is one such initiative.
