Over the past 17 years, Shikshantar School has introduced a paradigm shift in teaching – learning practices to emerge as an alternative to the traditional examination oriented system of education. Curriculum
Shikshantar is one of the best ICSE schools in Gurgaon affiliated with a a diverse learning community of 1600 students and 250 faculty. The school is promoted by GANDHARV SHIKSHARTH CHARITABLE TRUST (GSECT) and is guided by a Core Team of three members: Minoti Bahri, Sanjay Prakash and Sunil Batra. The three of them came together to take forward an integrated vision.
Learning in Shikshantar is facilitated keeping in mind the specific requirements of the age of the children. The emphasis points at each age are based on children’s readiness, appropriateness of the curriculum and challenges suitable to take them to the next level of education.

Visual Arts – Children explore various mediums and techniques through the years in Shikshantar, opening up diverse channels of self expression. Art experiences in Shikshantar range from dripping paints, sand art, recycling, printing, clay modelling and water colours to paper sculpture, pottery, life study, animation, photography and more!
Performing arts – Performing arts include music, dance, drama and an integration of all three.
Literary Experiences – Verbal and written articulation that is creative, original and of a high standard comes naturally to children of Shikshantar.
