The Performing Arts and Visual Arts Curriculum at TGWS aims at: Enhancing the aesthetic skills in students, developing their aesthetic leadership skills, exposing them to the general performing and visual art forms and also pave way to specializations in Performing and Visual Arts based on specific themes. Special Education Needs Department has been functional in school with school counselors in place. The learning disabilities of the students are timely identified by the facilitators and with the help of the counselor, in-school testing is done and remedial measures are being followed. The cases now under consideration are dyslexia, dysgraphia, hyperactivity; marginal autism etc.The parents play a vital role in these processes. A special learning module for slow learners, are in place which ultimately helps them join the main stream within a short period of time.

“The Centre for Practical Excellence” TGWS stands out as a centre for Practical Excellence through beautifully designed Labs which cater to the science and technological curriculum followed at school.The fully equipped and suitably designed laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Information Technology encourage the natural curiosity of the young learners.
Life through leadership activities aim to enhance the leadership skills of students tapping their skills in persuasive communication, oration, creativity and critical thinking, thereby extracting the aesthetic leadership from students. Every grade will have two activities; each month under life through leadership. Leadership is not only centered on risk taking and problem solving but also largely depends on persuasive communication and oratory skills, creative and critical thinking skills and aesthetic skills etc. It is not competition but activities to motivate and enhance different skills among students.
The Boarding at TGWS promotes the following: An intensive and individualized attention is extended to the students which don’t limit to only academics but also the overall development of the student’s personality. The TGWS teachers double up as parents and are keener to help the students beyond their regular routine. The fully furnished air conditioned library at TGWS is a learning centre for students especially with regards to R and R-Research and Referencing .It has over 7,500 books and around 3,500 teacher’s resources.The library also has Digital Library Management system and amalgamates the perfect blend of conventional and unconventional strategies. Book exhibitions, book reviews and reading sessions are conducted regularly exposing students to good written and reading skills.The reference library which is fully computerized is a treasure trove of information that has been built arduously and continues to grow each year.
The Community Service Programme at TGWS centers on the theme ‘Reaching the Unreached’ and a couple of projects were undertaken under this theme and some of them are: Reaching the Unreached (RTU)-where the students at municipal school spent days with our students in learning and fun. Helmet Awareness Programme and Safety Rally in Ranipet City for citizen awareness which was strongly welcomed by the community. Having completed his Schooling and College Education from Madras Christian College and Loyola College Chennai, He ardently pursued his passion in Designing and Art of all forms. The Director of Operations, Mr. Santhosh Gandhi, an intuitive strategist, is the guiding force for the administrative functioning at The Geekay World School. Having completed his Bachelor’s of Commerce from Christ College, Bangalore, and Bachelor of Science in Business from DePaul University, Chicago, USA and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Operations Management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Indiana, USA, Mr. Gandhi leaves no stone unturned in facilitating education of the highest quality.
Dr.Praseedha Sreekumar , the Head of School to The Geekay World School has been in international educational field for more than 15 years especially with International Baccalaureate, Geneva and Cambridge International Examinations,UK. She is currently holding the position of Diploma Examiner for International Baccalaureate programme in two subjects-TOK and English. Having completed her research in Indo-Anglian Literature , she has acquired a great passion and spirit to teach English Language and Literature.Her vibrant and versatile educational and administrative experiences abroad with International Curriculum have inspired her in pedagogical policy formulation. Dr.Sreekumar aims at an educational standard which is capable of breaking barriers of differentiation with regards to race, caste, religion and society, bringing in open mindedness which is one of productive outcomes of international education.
